Background / Challenge
In late 2024, a European IoT company needed a reliable and long-lasting power solution to support its next-generation connected devices. The requirements included:

During testing, a key challenge emerged: the capacitor’s position within the pack design conflicted with the customer’s assembly process, requiring a redesign to enable seamless integration.
Solution
PKCELL’s engineering team quickly responded to the customer’s request. Within a short period, three customized battery pack solutions were developed using the combination of ER14505 4800mAh 3.6V and LIC1020.

The design was re-engineered to relocate the capacitor to the negative terminal side, solving the integration issue

By April 2025, the customer placed their first mass production order of 5,000 customized battery packs, confirming the reliability and fit of the solution
