Background / Challenge
The customer in Ukraine focuses on water and electricity meter applications. At the European Metering Exhibition in Italy in 2024, she left only a business card and did not provide clear technical requirements. Despite limited information, PKCELL maintained proactive, long-term follow-up.
In January 2025, the customer showed initial interest, and later in July 2025, officially sent an inquiry for batteries used in smart meters. Initial testing confirmed that battery performance met expectations.
However, during assembly, the customer reported difficulties in welding the solder tabs themselves, which could affect production efficiency and consistency.
Solution
PKCELL responded quickly and arranged samples of CR1/3N lithium batteries with solder tabs for testing.
When the assembly issue was identified, our engineering team immediately:
